Liz Claiborne Inc. (LCI), known for their diverse portfolio of eminent brands offered worldwide via wholesale and retail channels, has recently granted accreditation to IST as one of their EDI software providers. Castro, has coordinated with Liz Claiborne and Maersk Logistics in the 2nd quarter ensuring the ASNxFGA scan/pack read and mapped their EDI guidelines. On July 2008, Quemada paid an official visit to LCI US office to meet with the Liz Claiborne EDI management team and finalize the course of the accreditation. On August 2008, Maersk has given the green light to IST's EDI document transmission which lead to IST’s official acceptance by Liz Claiborne as one of their EDI scan/pack software providers. This milestone happened last September 11, 2008.

IST’s HR2 Solution Goes to Guam - TakeCare Asia

Date Posted: November 11, 2008

TakeCare has recently held on-site implementation of the HR2 Personnel System as provided by Integrated Solutions Technology. Administered by Vangie Quemada, IST Global Consulting Group’s Senior Manager, and Rogie Niño, Project Manager, IST has ensued with the scheduled implementation in TakeCare Guam.

TakeCare is a privately held consumer health institute, recognized as one of the Deloitte & Touché/Guam Business list’s top ten companies in Micronesia.

After the fit/gap analysis segment in June, and adjustments on the system thereafter, the team officially proceeded to project implementation in September. This was done in collaboration with Grace Donaldson, TakeCare’s Human Resources Manager.

For a period of three weeks, the training schema was productively executed. Training of the HR Implementation Team, which was chiefly composed of the users, was conducted throughout the first week. Testing of the system and interface with STG (Sanford Technology Group) were made during the second week. To boot, training for managers flanking the cascade to the staff and some hands-on exercises were all completed during the same phase.

Updating of employees’ records was already accomplished. At this point, TakeCare guarantees the provision of precise, all-encompassing and reliable data to the employees. Currently, their personnel goes online whenever they carry out personal, employment and other records read-through, as well as filing of their PTO’s.

The said implementation in TakeCare Guam is a milestone to IST as the system will be helping TakeCare in managing their employees’ records and accessing information online. HR2 will now cater to the requirements of Guam in the field of HR thru this first step.

HR2 went live last October 27, 2008 in TakeCare Guam.

IST Aces Another First

IST marked history by finally securing its first-ever China buyer brand client of GSP Scan/Pack--Fujian Sepwolves Industry Co., Ltd last February 19. The momentous event was attended by IST Senior Manager Vangie Quemada and Jet Liu of IST Business Development. The road towards the contract signing was both tedious as it was meticulous. Quemada saw through the manifold task of monitoring the project from all ends, with the able support of Luen Thai’s IT (LT-IT) department. The Luen Thai GSP system (Generic Scan/Pack) is the scan/pack system being developed and used by Luen Thai IT Department. Septwolves company will use it for their factory’s scan/pack operation. For this event, IST did the marketing, proposal sending, negotiation and contract signing for Luen Thai GSP system. The LT-IT team together with IST will participate in the said pilot implementation. IST shall handle the succeeding implementation and said system documentations. The project started early January 2007 wherein IST and Septwolves sat down to discuss their plans. By May 2007, Septwolves contacted IST to commence with preliminary data gathering and business mapping to start with the project.

By November 2007, Septwolves CEO Zhou Shao Ming met with IST CEO Raymond Tan for the project finalization. By January of 2008, IST sent a team to meet with Septwolves for the final process review of the Scan/Pack system within actual factory confines. It was the last step to the much awaited decision as a month thereafter; Septwolves finally signed the contract with IST approving the adoption of Scan/Pack for all their factories and outlets.

At the moment, IST is looking forward to the pilot implementation of the project scheduled for April 7-18. As of last presentation, there were only minimal modifications to the system which connotes that everything is smooth sailing from hereon to the actual Septwolves system grand launch happening soon after the implementations.

adidas Visits IST

Mr. Mario Libunao, Jr., Manager of Competence Center Sourcing from adidas Services Limited spent his afternoon with IST on March 10, 2008. Libunao’s visit to IST coincides with his scheduled vacation here in the Philippines. As it was Libunao’s first time to visit the IST office, Vangie Quemada, Senior Manager and Jane D. Hale, Project Manager for the adidas Project; took the opportunity to introduce him to Nadz dela Cruz, Technical Team Leader of the adidas Project and to the various IST Project Managers.

During the afternoon caucus, Libunao opened the discussion regarding the ongoing initiatives and projects in adidas that will affect timelines for the Unified Solution.  Unified Solution is a Scan/Pack system encompassing the combined functionalities from three of IST’s Best-Of-Breed systems: ASNxFW, aSPS, and SPS3. These vital system components come together to offer a peerless solution to the factories of adidas and Reebok. In addition, IST discussed with Libunao the status of the Memorandum of Agreement between the two parties, including plans for the implementation of the new maintenance scheme. Part of the discussions also tackled the SPS3 billing process to familiarize Libunao with the billing system.

PUMA Adopts IST’s Scan and Pack Training ensues for testing early 2008

PUMA ScanPack Solutions

Renowned sports industry giant PUMA began the process for the ntroduction/orientation of their products and merchandise suppliers with PUMA Scan and Pack—a fully customized program currently being developed by Integrated Solutions Technology.

Project manager Jaygee Adorna made a quick visit to the PUMA (World Cat Limited) office in Hongkong on the last week of November to facilitate the User Group Review of the system to PUMA executives, PUMA suppliers and factory representatives.  Adorna presented the PUMA Scan and Pack prototype and was on hand to address concerns and queries that ensued after the orientation; involving system requirements, initial investments, project schedule/timelines, and processes.

It was notable that there were no major enhancements nor issues raised as to the features and functions of the system to meet all of PUMA’s requirements and specifications.  The users are looking forward to the system’s roll-out/implementation.  Adorna stated that pilot implementation of the system begins early next year, tentatively March. The next training phase: User Acceptance Training follows suit by February 2008.
